SHISD VATRE, Bond Election Results

Spring Hill ISD voters have rejected all four propositions of the Voter-Approval Tax Ratification Election (VATRE) and Bond election.

The VATRE for district operations and the Bond proposal for facility maintenance and improvements were designed to address the current and future needs of Spring Hill students, staff, and the community. While the measures did not pass, district leaders expressed appreciation to the community for participating in the election process and for their continued support of Spring Hill schools.

“We respect the decision of our voters and remain grateful for the ongoing support of our community,” said Superintendent Penny Fleet. “Although the VATRE and Bond did not pass, our commitment to student success remains.”

The VATRE would have provided additional operating funds to support staff compensation and instructional programs, while the Bond would have addressed facility improvements, safety needs, and classroom upgrades.

“We appreciate the voice of the voters, despite the community’s decision not to approve the VATRE and Bond propositions,” Spring Hill School Board President John Borens stated. “Moving forward we will evaluate alternative solutions to address the critical needs of our district.”

Spring Hill ISD will share additional information in the coming weeks as leaders assess the impact of the election results and plan for the future.
